Teet Kask was born on May 8, 1968 in Pärnu, Estonia and learned to dance at the age of five. His brother Tiit brought him to the town cultural center to take ballroom dance classes. As a ordinary child, at nine years of age, Teet surprised all the locals when he passed audition for State Ballet School in capital of Estonia. Brother Tiit has often recalled that Teet seemed more comfortable to express himself through movement than through words.

Teet lived since ten at ballet school dormitory and could go home only in weekends. His genuine  passion to dance helped to overcome homesickness. Already in first year at ballet school Teet had his debut in Estonian National Opera's Swan Lake. At eleven he made his first apparence as a actor/dancer in ballet film Medea

At twelve he drew the attention of renowned Russian ballet master Oleg Vinogradov then Kirov/Mariinsky Ballet's director who hand picked Teet to perform leading part in ballet La Fille mal gardee. Following years still in school he performed several leading roles on Estonia National Opera stage. After Tallinn Ballet School graduation Teet became member of Estonian National Ballet.

At twenty as a first Estonian ballet dancer he was invited to join Royal Swedish Ballet and Norwegian National Ballet, where he enriched his skills through companies wide range of classical and contemporary ballet repertoire. During that time Teet got face to face coaching from legendary choreographers like Glen Tetley, Rudi van Dantzig, Mats Ek and Jiri Kylian. In 1997 Teet choreographed his first dance creation for Norwegian National Ballet.

Curiosity and experience search guided him to collaborate with well known artist from other fields like photographer Knut Bry, composer Erkki-Sven Tüür, interactive artist Pia Myrvold and archidect Kisa Kawakami.

In 2004 Teet took decision to enter into City University London to heighten his consciousness as a director and choreographer. During his study he devised a unique technique Dancer as a Method. In his creations Teet uses both the aesthetics of classical dance as well as modern expression and likes to flirt with a certain amount of experimentation. He has become widely recognized as a unique artist/choreographer/tutor synthesizing classical and contemporary dance.
